Compeer Rochester, Inc. is committed to safe and effective programming at all times. The following requirements and guidelines have been implemented to ensure the physical health and safety of all participants during the Coronavirus pandemic.  This document will be reviewed frequently and updated as new information is available and is subject to change in accordance with recommendations and mandates from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), New York State Department of Health, and our local government.

1. In accordance with the New York State Office of Mental Health, Compeer Rochester strongly encourages all staff and participants to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.

2. Telehealth and virtual contact through phone calls, e-mails, and video conferencing remain the safest and preferred methods of contact and service delivery for non-vaccinated individuals.

3. Services and activities may take place at the Compeer office by appointment, following healthcare organization COVID regulations, including universal masking, regular disinfecting of surfaces and high-touch areas, and physical distancing of six feet whenever possible.

4. Staff must complete brief health screen while clocking in; visitors to the office will be asked to complete temperature check.

5. Individuals who are COVID-positive, or otherwise experiencing symptoms of any communicable illness (including but not limited to: cough, fever over 100.5, chills, shortness of breath, loss of sense of taste or smell, body aches, fatigue, headache, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea) may not participate in any in-person activities.

6. Staff who have contracted COVID-19 are encouraged to report diagnosis in accordance with contact tracing and related orders through the Monroe County Department of Public Health.
