In Memory of Jason Drago

Compeer is honored to be a beneficiary in memory of Jason Drago. Jason came to Compeer Rochester in 2005 as a youth program volunteer where he was matched with Erick. While his formal mentorship to Erick lasted about two years, their friendship lived on. Jason embodied the mission and spirit of Compeer, where social connection heals, and friendship is a two-way street.

Friends and family who would like to contribute to the organization in Jason’s name are invited to make a secure donation to Compeer here. (Please add “In Memory of Jason Drago” in donation note.)

HERMANO CUP Championship

Compeer Rochester is honored to be the beneficiary of the 3rd annual Jason Drago Hermano Cup Golf Tournament - The 2025 tournament was a HUGE Success!

The tournament was hosted by Jason’s brother, Jon, in Tampa, Florida during the week of August 15th - August 17th.

The Hermano Cup Championship is more than just a charitable golf tournament. From the very beginning, Jon’s vision for this annual event has been to celebrate community, friendship, and the legacy of Jason. Jason’s life was defined by selfless acts and a genuine commitment to others. '“His work with Compeer Rochester—a nonprofit that matches volunteers with youth facing mental health challenges—left a lasting impression on me. I witnessed the meaningful impact Jason had on the lives of those he mentored, and I was inspired to carry that mission forward. Selecting Compeer Rochester as the benefactor for these fundraising efforts seemed only fitting. “

Jon’s passion is to continue Jason’s legacy of the pursuit of friendship in the years to come and to help children struggling with mental wellness find happiness through social connections and continued friendship.

The 2025 tournament was the most successful yet and raised $15,469.69 through sponsorships and contributions!

On behalf of the Drago Family and Compeer Rochester, we extend our sincere thanks to the Sponsors, Tournament Donors, Key Contributors, Tee Sponsors, Event Staff, Carrollwood Country Club and ALL TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS
